In preparation for an upcoming installation of Isa Genzken’s Hemd/Jacke, 1998, I was asked to produce a digitally rendered exhibition mockup. This artwork consists of 18 hand painted garments hanging delicately on coat hangers which can be displayed in a variety of configurations.
The goal for this mockup was to propose a base arrangement of the garments to the curatorial team, taking into consideration the size and visual rhythm of the jackets when displayed in a single line along the pavilion walkway. This helped establish the placement of the hanging hardware for the individual coat hangers, which facilitated the ease of installation and allowed for less handling of the objects.
