THE WAY WE MOVE

Course:

Capstone Thesis Studio | Professor: Andrea Dietz

Overview:

Year-long capstone thesis requiring students to research and propose a curatorial concept for an exhibition and then bring the exhibition from conceptual through technical design phases

Approach:

My thesis project imagines new ways to offer positive moments of stress reduction in the urban environment by counteracting the existing cityscape with natural fractal patterns. This popup street exhibition invites its audience to rest, meditate, stretch, play, and activate a series of prototypes which will be presented to a city planning commission as an argument to include health focused design in future city planning work.

Skill Building:

Curatorial research, conceptual design development, technical design, fabrication, user interface prototyping, audience participation facilitation
