Overview:

Transformer20 is an exhibition that celebrates the 20th year anniversary of Transformer, a non-profits art organization serving the DC community. The exhibition features over 100 artworks as well as timeline walls highlighting documentation from the gallery's extensive archives.

Approach:

As Exhibition Designer for this project, my role was first to help define the curators vision for the timeline and special projects walls. Inspired by the DIY punk roots of the gallery and an overwhelming amount of documentation and archival material, we chose a maximalist approach for the display and a wheate-paste aesthetic.
