Art Fair Installation
In my role as Exhibition Coordinator and Registrar at Agora Gallery, I was responsible for the transportation and installation logistics of all art fairs which the gallery participated in.
With the gallery Director, I helped design the layout of the art fair booth walls. This design required the thoughtful consideration of the artworks which were being presented in the booth and how the circulation of the larger fair would affect the visitors' approach and experience within our individual booth. To support this design process, I created scaled models of the booth and artwork for us to arrange the layout of the works and in some cases mocked-up the layout of the booth at full scale.
Based on the number and size of artworks, I designed and ordered custom built crates and pedestals for the fair. I coordinated all shipments of artwork from the participating artist studios to the gallery, where I oversaw the handling, framing, and crating of the works. During the installation, I worked with the Director and curatorial team to finalize the artwork layout and then led our team of art handlers through intense, fast-paced installs.
